We have family in Kent 'Cranbrook' so I know how lovely Hastings can be on a sunny day. It looks like you had a fantastic bank holiday (I had a horrid migraine the whole time.) Regarding the car boot finds, if I see anything nice I pick it up quickly and then ponder, it too has happened to me too many times.
