...one little miss DaisyAnd one plastic Ogglie eye? 10 hours in hospital and 1cm x 1cm ogglie eye removed from nose is what you get lol Yes our little miss Daisy pushed said item up her nose the night of my pampered chef hen night, at about 7.15pm 45 minutes before all my friends arrived, great timing argh!
Thankfully Mr cupcakes had only just popped out to move the car off the drive and came back to screaming Daisy and very stressed me. I'd had a look up her nose and there was no way i was getting it out and didn't really want to have a go, for safety reasons.
So after being wrapped up in her dressing gown, off she went to A&E and my party went ahead.
A couple of hours later, she returned with ogglie eye still firmly in place, sigh! they could get it out.
So booked her an appointment for the next morning back in the children's ward, so we arrived for 9'o clock and two doctors later and lots of tears still no ogglie eye.
The decision was made to put her to sleep, not something I'd like to go through again i can tell you. It left us feeling worried and helpless. But it worked and we now had said ogglie eye in a tester pot as a keep sake lol
Brave Daisy came round a little drunk and very hungry and thirsty. Bless her after being nil by mouth for over 9 hours due to no one telling us not to give her breakfast at 7.30am in case they needed to put her to sleep (sigh!). She waffled down 3 lots of juice, marmalade on toast, cheese sandwich, monster munch crisps and chocolate biscuits lol we've never seen her eat so much.
And after they'd taken her blood pressure a few more times and removed the needle from the back of her hand ouch! we could bring her home.
Yeay! no more ogglies up Daisy's nose. We're hoping it has scared her enough never to do something as silly as this ever again. And please note any naughty Ogglies hiding in the cupcakes room have been found and turned out, never to be pushed up any noses ever again LOL I want to say a big thank you to my very good friend Carol for taking care of Molly while all of this happened. You are a true friend, big hugs honey xoxo
