Birthday treats, cake, cookies Valentine's gift and mummy love.

I have to say firstly a big thank you to all of you that are going to take part in my heart swap. And its not to late to join in, just click on the heart cupcake to the right of this post and leave me your comment and blog name. I'll be sorting you in to pairs on the 10th March. It's the first swap I've put together and I'm looking forward to it.

On a heart theme, here is the birthday cake i made of for Miss Molly's 4th last week. I had to layer the hearts right up to her knickers lol to cover her bum and any embarrassment hehe!

I also did a little bit of DIY on her top, sewing on a piece of pink polka dot fabric and pretty glitter buttons. I think I'll leave London fashion week until next year though lol it's a bit slap happy. Molly loves it and that's all that matters and i had the most fun making it.

And here she is he finished cake, well nearly you see this photo was taken by me a few days after the party, all the others came out very orange due to poor light but you can just see the back of her dress is missing lol well we couldn't not give our party guesses a piece or 2 to eat lol

You get the idea of what it did look like, i hope. Very yummy indeed with a cuppa and well worth seeing the look on Molly's face the first time she saw it. Bless, a big awww! "mummy you made it for me" and then lots of bouncing around the dining room lol so a big hit i think.

We found this beautiful little card in a lovely shop at Whitstable last year and i have been waiting all this time to give it to her. I even got one for Daisy in a different style for her 3rd and am going to put them both in a frame as a keepsake.

So the bunting, balloons and happy birthday and biscuit banners where hang.
Miss Molly was up at her normal time of 7-7.30ish lol and downstairs to open her presents. Thank you Grandma for the fab Charlie and Lola knickers, they're great.
We got Molly these gorgeous CK wellies that she'd had her eye on ever since she'd looked through the new catalogue with me. She has good taste lol They are for all the outings that the playgroup do in the morning sessions, she has now started going a full day on Weds and a morning on Friday's. We thought they'd be a nice way of saying to her that she's getting a big girl now and needs some grown up looking wellies for all the walks she'll be doing. I think it broke my heart more when i dropped her off for her first full day, she hopped off in with a little smile and a small look of oh mummy don't go, but settled in fabulously and can't wait to do it again this week. Oh why do they have to grow up?

Anyway on to another present, inside here was a cute pink till a fab gift from Nanny and Grandad in Ireland. Big kisses and hugs blown across the sea to you both from Molly x x x

Some of the lovely cards she got, i need no excuse to put up one of my washing lines and use the dotty pegs lol if you click on the photo for a better look the card right in the middle was lovingly made by my very own Mummy. It's full of cupcakes, cake, tea and a cute teddy. Mum you are a clever thing, it's fab x

Now you might be wondering where are all the photos from the party, well in all the fun we didn't really take any good ones for sharing lol just got to court up in the fun of the afternoon (sorry). We did get a video of everyone singing happy birthday to Mollycupcakes and I'll pop it on another post because it takes forever to upload. A big thank you to everyone that left her birthday wishes and the play food from her Auntie Sam, Uncle Paul and Ava, was just right for her till. And a big thank you for all the vouchers, other presents and money she got. Especially little Granny, who is recovering wonderfully. Kisses for you xxx
Molly had a fabulous time and still had lots of energy left the next day.
Below is some next day party fun being had by the cupcakes, just a few balloons and lots of bouncing. I wish i had their energy at 4.30pm on a Sunday afternoon. lol

On the Monday afternoon we did some cookie decorating, always a good fun thing to do. You can see Daisy's right into it, working her way through the sugar strands. She went a little crazy after that lol just in time for Daddy to come home, sorry Ben!
I know Valentine's day seems a while ago now but I've been waiting for the right light to get out and share my lovely gift from Ben.
A beautiful willow tree (pussy paws) is what i used to call them when i was a little cupcake lol and i used to pull them off and fill my pockets given half a chance before getting court hehe!
It is a wonderful gift because it will be also be used at our wedding reception as the wishing tree, where our guests can hang their wish, wishes for us on. And to get all slushy on you, it will grow everyday, week, month and year just as my love for Ben does. Thank you my darling i truly love you. X

I'll leave you now with a bit of Mummy love, just in time for the forthcoming Mother's day. What more could i ask for than 2 big kisses from my little cupcakes hehe! x x

Hope your weekend was good and filled with family time and a little bit of you time. Ours had country walks, a church and shoe shopping in it. What did you do?
Hugs,

Happy Birthday Molly x

Here you are my little tiny cupcake and look at you now.

My beautiful 4 year girl, who'll soon be doing full a full day at playgroup followed by big girl school this Sept. Where did the time go? It scares me it's going so fast, I only hope that you remember all the fun filled days we've spent together so far. Because i cherish each and everyone with you.
Your smile just melts me and those eyes, well they speak for themselves. You're going to break a fair few hearts and put even more grey hairs on your Daddies head. lol

We love you Molly and you make us so proud every time you learn something new or make us smile. You'll be our baby cupcake forever. Enjoy your first ever party this afternoon, the sun is out and smiling just for you.
Happy birthday our beautiful little girl, may it be filled with cupcakes, wishes and dreams.
Love you x x x

I am still here!

Hello all, I'm so sorry for the lack of blogging this week. It's half term here and my oldest Jade has been with us. Sadly now though she's ill and has a sore throat and cough, but is pulling through ready for tomorrows big party. Little miss Molly cupcakes will be 4 and is having a few friends round. I'm busy like a mad woman baking, cleaning and wrapping up presents. While finishing orders and trying to forget my own sore throat. Us mum's are super women lol
I will be back tomorrow with a birthday blog for Molly and lots of photos from her party next week.
As for the BIG HEART SWAP, I will be sorting out all the details on Tuesday next week. Thanks to all of you that are interested in taking part, I'm really looking forward to doing it x
The weathers also been very odd with days like this to days like....

this... amazing blue sky.

I have been sooo busy of late with orders, children and well life general that i didn't think I'd have time for anything else. But look what I've made for our wedding (not sure when it's happening, Ben's looking for somewhere to do it). I picked up this cute little shabby frame from the lovely Laura Ashley sale and painted it chalk white and in each side it says EAT & DRINK. I'll pop it on our food table. It's so simple but very expensive looking don't you think? I have also lanched my own wedding favours on Mollycupcakes, go have a look I'd love to get soe feedback on them.
Right bye bye for now, I have a house to hoover, bathroom to clean and pink barbie cake to finish. A super cupcake Mummies work is never done lol
Big hugs to everyone and thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes for Jade, she had a fabulous shopping treat from me and Ben and a yummy old lemon drizzle iced cake made by me.(photos soon).
Sorry again for being a crap blogger this week, I will get back to everyone that has left me a comment because i love each and everyone of you x
Have a great weekend.

Giving people hope

A love story between two badly burned koalas rescued from Australia's deadliest bushfires has provided some heart-warming relief after days of devastation and the loss of over 180 lives.
The story of Sam and her new boyfriend Bob emerged after volunteer firefighter Dave Tree used a mobile phone to film the rescue of the bewildered female.
She was found cowering in a burned out forest at Mirboo North, 90 miles southeast of Melbourne.

Tree, who has been a volunteer firefighter for 26 years, said it was extremely rare to get so close to a koala so he asked his colleague Brayden Groen, 20, to film him.
'You can how she stops and moves forward and looks at me. It was like a look saying "I can't run, I'm weak and sore, put me out of my misery",' Tree said.
'I yelled out for some water and I sat down with her and tipped the water up.

'It was in my hand and she reached for the bottle then put her right claw into my left hand which was cold so it must have given her some pain relief and she just left it there. It was just amazing.'
Colleen Wood from the Southern Ash Wildlife Shelter that is caring for Sam and Bob said both koalas were doing well while other animals like possums, kangaroos, and wallabies were also starting to emerge from the debris.
She said Sam had suffered second degree burns to her paws and would take seven to eight months to recover while Bob had three burned paws with third degree burns and should be well enough to return to the bush in about four months.
'They keep putting their arms around each other and giving each other hugs. They really have made friends and it is quite beautiful to see after all this. It's been horrific,' said Wood.
'Sam is probably aged between two to four going by her teeth and Bob is about four so they have a muchness with each other.'
Wood said about 20 koalas had been brought into her shelter in recent days, several of whom had bonded as koalas are known to clump together, but none had garnered the same attention as the new Internet star Sam.

Sam's story was reminiscent of a koala named Lucky who survived the 2003 bushfires that destroyed about 500 homes and killed four people in the capital of Canberra.
Lucky became a symbol of hope.
Tree, a volunteer with the Country Fire Authority Victoria, has visited Sam since her rescue and was delighted to see she had found a boyfriend in Bob.
'They've really taken a shine to each other as they are both burnt and share the same burnt smell,' he said.
'My heart goes out to the people in these fires and this was so innocent so people have used this to distract them from all the sad stuff that has gone on.
'It gives people a bit of hope.'

Ben shared this with me yesterday and i wanted to share it with you. Even in the hardest of times hope shines through. My thoughts and wishes are with you all.
Please help Wildlife Victoria.

Snow today! snow gone tomorrow!

Where did it all go so fast? poor Mr Snowman is no more, this was a a couple of days ago now and today the cupcakes looked out our bedroom window and sighed. "He's all gone Mummy"! "I know cups but you'll be able to make another one when there is more snow". Big smiles all round, phew! That was lucky no tears. Well apart from Mr Snowman's. Roll on Spring I miss you.
Look what the postie brought me on Saturday afternoon, my Valentine swap goodies. We where just off to do some food shopping when Ben said is that post van gonna be for you miss cupcakes? and it was. I couldn't wait to open it and had a little sneaky look inside the jiffy bag before the shopping trip commenced.
Back home food away, I ripped it open and just look at all the lovely things i received. Thank you so much Victoria from Tilly Rose. I really love everything you sent me and the chocolates, well they weren't around for long. Yummy scrummy as our Daisy would say.

I hope you like you bag of treats, they went out in the post today. A little late due to our post office closes early on Saturdays. It was fun doing this swap, thank you to A Thrifty Mrs for organising it. Big hugs x

My lovely heart mug had her first mocha in it today and look the fabulous postie dropped next months copy of Country Living on the mat. So it was the perfect excuse to sit down for 5 and flick through the pretty pages of March.
Speaking of prettiness, i just had to bring this home with me yesterday. It would of been so upset if I'd left it there after carrying it around the whole shop with me first lol no really i have been looking at a gorgeous CK bag online for a while hoping and wishing for it to come back in stock, even though i knew i was kidding myself. Things in the sale never come back in do they :( but now I'm so happy i didn't get it because this fabulous one was just waiting for me and my held on to Christmas and birthday vouchers to go in and buy it. I am so glad i kept most of my vouchers and didn't use them all in the sale. Sorry Jess i know your fighting with yourself over which bag to get. This one being your top favourite, well i can recommend it, it's big enough for all our mummy and girlie needs. The nice sales assiant even gave me my free copy of the new magazine. The funny thing is now it's not only me that has a wish list Miss Molly cupcakes has her eyes on some pretties for her birthday this month too. Awww such good taste, can't think where she gets it from lol Expensive taste Mr cupcakes says hehe!

I hope you've all enjoyed a lovely weekend, I'll be catching up with all as soon as i can. Busy, busy from the Sunday Express mag. Lots of orders and new ideas to work on.
Thank you all again for the lovely kind comments, this blogland is a wonderful place to be, it lifts me on grey days like today. X
Cupcake wishes,

Here at number....

...while Daisy and... (this isn't our front door, it's an old one in the back garden, it looks cute with things climbing up it but a little tatty)
...Megan where sleeping... (your supposed to be sleeping Megan! get with the story lol)

A little bit of snow began to fall.
So out ran Molly, Jade and Ben to have some Winter fun.
Look out Daddy I'm going to get you, run! lol
Even Thomas the cat joined in. Not for very long hehe!
And the next day we got more.

Enough to build Mr Snowman here.
Although he is a little confused because he's dressed in mainly pink lol sorry Snowman it's all we could find. And our innocent smoothly knitted hat is a bit on the snug side. But you have cool buttons eyes, crayon nose and stones for a smile. And the cupcakes love you. and want to keep you forever.
Back indoors it's scarfs, hats and gloves off and on to the toasty radiator and hot chocolates all round.
I hope you are all still having fun in the snow and it's not coursing you to much trouble. I have been popping in on a few of you this week and the photos I've seen are fab. Most of the snow here as melted and poor Mr Snowman is looking very sorry for himself :( the cupcakes will be sad. But there is no room in our freezer to keep him. Lets hope we get some more snow soon.
Lots of photos and not to much chat this time, the spread in the Sunday magazine has been keeping me very busy this week. Thank you all sooo very much for all the wonderful kind, loving and supportive comments. I am truly touched.
Sending you all big warm thank you hugs.
