Organic chocolate cupcakes with choc fudge icing and teeny weeny eggs and a sprinkle of glitter. They went down very well at the fair and at home.
The cupcakes joined in an Easter bonnet parade, egg rolling competition and egg hunt. They came back with lots of treats. And yes Daisy had her face painted lol she's not just very mucky, she's a pirate (don't ask! i sigh lol).
A table full of bonnets, can you see which ones where made by the mum's? LOL I'm glad i wasn't the only one.
After the fair the cupcakes didn't want to take their bonnets off, so i got some more photos, they look so cute. I think we're keep these somewhere safe and bring them out next year. I loved making them, sewing on all those little chicks and flowers.
Fluffy yellow chicks just cry out Easter to me and you can never have enough in my book. It's sad when they all have to be put away but so lovely to see them next time round. Our house still has teeny weeny eggs, creme and whole chocolate eggs coming out of our ears. Have you all eaten yours? I like looking at them in the jar, they're such pretty colours. The jar does seem to be looking less full, Mr Mollycupcakes is that you? lol
It's nearly the end of the Easter break now for all us mum's back to the old normal next week. Trips back and forth to playgroups and schools. And don't we miss them once they're back. Roll on the Summer when we can have endless days at Whitstable, eating chips, ice creams and sweets. Walk around all the lovely little shops and sea front. Then back home with salt in our hair and sand in our feet. Wonderful, just wonderful.

I've enjoyed easter this year too. I think blogging has inspired me to be creative and do more. Those cakes with the glitter looked very pretty. x
I have had a superb Easter mainly due to the fact that I broke away from the norm of being told by my mum and brothers what I would be doing...I did my own family Easter and it was wonderful... I am going to try my hardest to make weekends for the family... and try and go somewhere different each week...
Your hats are beautiful, I didn't make one this year... I am looking forward to making a boy hat for daniel next year, cracked eggs with dinosaurs coming out no doubt! lol
I wish I could bake an edible cake let alone the gorgeogous ones you made.. you are ver gifted indeed!
X Alex
Looks like you've had a great Easter break.
You're right it will soon be all over and back to the norm, so lets hope the summer holidays get here fast, so much I want to do with the little guys this year.

I think this was the most Eastery Easter I've had in a long time. I doubt we'll ever finish all the chocolate, especially after Nonna won a 10 kile egg and a 5 kilo egg!
I love the photo of all the bonnets, it looks like all the little chickes are running rampant!
Love the cakes and the hats!
We have had cream cakes, carrot cake, cinema popcorn and mini eggs over the last week: aren't we naughty!!!!!!!!!!! x
Ooh nice hats! Sounds like you've had a wonderful easter.

Love all your Easter Ideas! 2 of your spotty egg cups took pride of place on my fireplace with some hand painted hard boiled eggs... not done that for years but had fun rolling them about the garden!
